U.S. federal rules exempt vehicles 25 years or older from Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) compliance, so classic cars from Japan, whether right- or left-hand drive, can be imported into the United States. We source classics over 25 years old from auctions and dealers across Japan and handle everything from condition checks and purchase to export paperwork and shipping to the U.S.

You receive a formal quotation showing the car price and our export service fee, with what the fee covers, such as inland transport to the port, export customs clearance and shipping, set out in the quote.

Contract & paymentJPY transfer to SIE in Japan
Once you sign the quotation we issue a formal invoice. Payment is made in Japanese yen to the corporate bank account of SIE CO.,LTD. in Japan, and we buy the car only after the payment is confirmed.

Purchase & transport to portPhotos and progress updates
After purchase we arrange transport to the port warehouse and send you photos once the car is in. We keep you updated at every stage.

Export customs & shippingJapanese port → your port
We complete export customs clearance in Japan and ship the car to your destination port. Once the booking is confirmed, we send you the vessel name and voyage number.

Documents & importB/L, export certificate, spare keys
After departure we issue the B/L and send you the original export certificate, spare keys and accessories. Import clearance, inspection and registration take place at your end; in some markets we can introduce partners who can help.
